Elder William G. Vann is the pastor and visionary of Iasis Christian Center. He holds a certificate of ordination from Aenon Bible College and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Southwestern College Winfield, Kansas.
He is married to an awesome woman Michelle Vann,and is the proud father of Mr. Brandon Vann and Ms. Brianna Vann.
Pastor Vann has been a vibrant part of the Wichita business community. In 1993 he formed a company called River City Plating. A decorative metal finishing company that has done work for Boeing, Raytheon, Chance Rides, Optima Bus, Big Dog Motorcycles as well as work for individual customers. Due to his business savvy he has been featured in many magazines, television shows, and newspaper articles. He was also featured in Who’s Who in Small Business’. He was awarded the Small Business Person of the Year Award,1999, for South Central Kansas. Pastor Vann serves as Chief Executive Officer of the BaM (Bill and Michelle) Group which sells annuities, offers financial planning, and life insurance. This capital venture also includes investment properties. In March 2007 under the unction of the Lord Pastor Vann sold River City Plating to focus more time on the development of the ministry at Iasis Christian Center.
Elder Vann has been blessed to travel to may parts of the country preaching the gospel. He is known as a pastor that has a heart for the men of God. He believes that it is time for men to return to the church. Not weak kneed, jelly-backed, sissified men, but REAL men of God, armed and trained to fight the good fight of faith. This burden empowered him to co-launch Real Men, Inc. This is a mentoring and leadership training academy taught twice a month at Northwest High School. Real Men, Inc. averages 40 to 60 young men in attendance. Its success has prompted the young ladies to ask for a group as well. He was ask by Northwest Head Football Coach, Weston Schartz, to serve as Chaplin for the varsity football team. Elder Vann meets with the team before the games and can be found on the sidelines along side the other coaches every Friday night during the football season. Pastor Vann spent four years in prison ministry, ministering in Winfield and Ellsworth Correctional Facilities. He currently sends his Bible class notes and outlines to a group of inmates that uses them for study in El Dorado Correctional Facility.
Elder Vann is an avid outdoorsmen and enjoys hunting and fishing, in God’s wonderful creation. He is truly a man after God’s heart and was born for this season.
